Dates of internship: Beginning February 10 2010. Period 4-6 months internship.
Location: New York.
Profile of intern: 2nd or 3rd year of business school in marketing and business development. Entrepreneurial. Fluency in French and English is imperative.
Who we are:
EDGE Consulting International represents the interests of several French manufacturers in various industries. Besides typical short-term consulting assignments EDGE is creating several “operational” divisions in the decorative, the food-beverage and the cosmetic-spa industries. The objective is to better represent in the long term the interests in the United-States of foreign companies in these industries by implementing their strategies on this market.

Mission of this internship:
This internship will bring exposure to a number of short-term research projects in a wide variety of industries as per the consulting projects assigned to EDGE and a focus on business development and marketing in the above-mentioned divisions. Several main projects amongst others will be the following:
Decoration: to develop various market segments for prestigious high-end decoration companies. The market segments are the retail and the professionals (decorators and architects).
others: Pre-launch market studies. Market positioning. Marketing and business plan depending of assignments.
Main skills required:
Research: desk and field research.
Marketing strategy and product management.
Organization and development of a division.
